High Court Action Halted

Worksop financial backer Howard Raymond has halted his High Court action against the Conference ruling made against Boston United following discussions with the Tigers management team. Mr Raymond said: I think the situation is a disaster all round with Scarborough going into liquidation and then you have an insolvent club like Boston Utd who have not been bought out. But after discussions with Chairman John Hepworth, Mr Raymond has decided to drop the action as the club have now been registered as a Unibond Premier club and have been signing Unibond players and are now financially geared up for that league and also, if the club were reinstated to the Conference North they would only have Unibond standard players. He added: ultimately I have to go with the wishes of the people who are running the club, but if it were down to me then I would really go for it and I was more than happy to lodge an appeal although my lawyers stated that we had a 40% chance of success, but the deadline for the appeal has now passed although in terms of a High Court appeal, we were very confident of our chances.
