Another tremendous performance in front of a big crowd. Complements to the lads again as it must have been hard in that heat. With other results going our way, too, we have leapfrogged Leek and Frickley into 16th.

Another Solid performance from the lads, first half was a bit s****py although we did create the best chance/s in that half.Tthe 2nd half was better by kendal, creating numerous chances and scoring in the last 10 minutes gr8 result.

I felt the referee had a shocker today don't know what any 1 else thinks about that? Ashy wasn't being given anything by the referee today. Infact is it just me or has the past few referees i have seen had shockers when we play?

North Ferriby werent up to much for me, they seemed out of ideas in front of goal in truth, 2 games left, comfortably safe now looking forward to Frickley away and then the home match i will be going to against hednesford on the last day.

And then waiting for pre season freindlies and i hope we can mount a challenge for promotion next season.

You've got it about right there. Ferriby were tough at the back and their number 9 was fast and dangerous (and the only one from Ferriby that didn't moan the whole game), and we deserved to win on the second half performance. Could have been more than one in the end.

As for the ref, yes he was poor, and not just against Ashy but both ways. They haven't all been like that though. Thought the one for the Mossley game was very good.

The one thing that got me yesterday apart from the missed/disputed decisions was the level of abuse the officials were prepared to take. Surely when a player hurls very fould and abusive language at either the referee or linesman it must be a booking or (with some of the extreme stuff thrown around yesterday) a straight red.

Sir Tom Finney as President is a superb move. By the way, anyone know when the TV coverage is likely to be shown, or has it already been on?

It was on Border TV on Saturday evening. Sir Tom watched it in The Park.

I believe it will be shown again this evening in the sports round up, programme starts at 6pm on ITV1
