There have been reports on the local radio and on the FA website that Kendal had lost 2-1 to Liversedge in the 2nd round qualifier of the FA cup.
I can gurantee that this isn't the case and we did beat Liversedge 3-0 in the 2nd round qualifier the other day. Paul Mclennan ( The clubs commercial manager) spotted the error and soon rang the FA to put them right. The mistake was apparently an agency reporting mistake that had been printed in Sundays and Mondays news papers. Paul said " I spoke to a lady who said the FA didn't make mistakes like that and I must be wrong as things like that couldn't happen under the system they had" "I insisted that I was at the match and knew without a shadow of a doubt that Kendal had won 3-0 and that she should check the referees report which would have the scorers name on it" "it saved the FA's embarrasment and stopped one of the biggest cock ups in FA history as the draw would probably have had to be re done". For the record we have drawn Woodley Sports at The Lakeland Radio stadium
